About Kaziranga National Park
Kaziranga National Park is a UNESCO World Heritage Site in Assam, India, famous for having the world's largest population of one-horned rhinoceros. The park spans 430 square kilometers and is also home to significant populations of elephants, wild water buffalo, and swamp deer. The park's diverse habitats include grasslands, wetlands, and forests along the Brahmaputra River.

Wildlife & Photography Opportunities
Kaziranga is home to over 2,400 one-horned rhinoceros (two-thirds of the world's population), approximately 1,200 wild elephants, 1,000+ wild water buffalo, and healthy populations of tigers. The park hosts over 500 bird species including pelicans, storks, ducks, herons, and the endangered Bengal florican. The park also has significant populations of hog deer, sambar deer, and various primate species.

Kaziranga has a humid subtropical climate with hot, humid summers and mild winters. The monsoon season (June-September) brings heavy rainfall, and the park remains closed during this period. The best time to visit is during the dry season when wildlife congregates around water sources.
